Brand Identity

Sub36 honours Lancashire’s most influential, innovative and inspiring business people aged 36 and under. Organised by Lancashire Business View, Sub36 arranges a series of networking events, panel discussions and hosts an annual awards ceremony.

Originally known as Young ‘Uns, Lancashire Business View approached us to relaunch the brand. Whilst Young ‘Uns was successful, it suffered from negative perceptions with varying views on what defines ‘young’ and whether the name could be off putting to those at the top of their game.

Following research and testing, Sub36 was selected as a name to best describe the group and give an aspirational feeling.

The visual identity for Sub36 centres around the unique interlocking award, designed to award finalists with the lower red acrylic base and winners the top aluminium section to represent a downward arrow.

The identity has encouraged new business people to the brand since launch through use in magazine features, promotion of networking events and during the award ceremony.
